Birding in the Forsyth NWR on Saturday March 6th from 2pm to 4:30pm. The Forsyth Refuge (www.fws.gov/northeast/forsythe/) is a major stop on the Atlantic Flyway and is an internationally recognized Ramsur wetlands site. We will meet 20 min north of Atlantic City at Stockton College's Nacote Creek Lab (57 Wilson Ave, Port Republic, NJ) at 2pm on Saturday for a short tour and to organize into car pools. The Refuge tour (3pm to 4:30pm) will follow the auto trail and be led by a refuge tour guide with stops to see the major migratory birds in residence. For more information and to registar for the field trip, please contact Peter Straub (pete.straub"at"stockton.edu) or the registration desk. |
